Vardan Astsatryan, the founder and owner of the Shushi Carpet Museum, has signed a cooperation agreement with the president of the Armenian-Russian Cultural Association (ARCA), Alexander Bordov, to promote the revival of the Artsakh museum in Armenia, the ARCA reported.

The cooperation concerns not only the collection of carpets but also paintings and ancient archaeological exhibits, which were regularly displayed in the museum.

Shushi Carpet Museum is the only one of Artsakh museums that survived after the 2020 war. It is undeniable evidence of the Armenian historical presence on Artsakh land.

The collection includes at least 200 carpets, with some of them dating back to the 16th century.
