Simon Abkarian to portray Charles de Gaulle in new film

French Armenian actor Simon Abkarian will play the lead role in director Antonin Baudry’s biopic “De Gaulle.”
The Pathé film studio released a teaser for the historical saga and announced that the first part of the film about the symbol of the French Resistance will premiere on June 10, with the second part following on July 3, 2026.
Simon Abkarian is widely recognized for his performances in Casino Royale, Gett, Persepolis, The Cut, and Ararat. He is also a successful theater actor and director. In 2020, he was awarded France’s prestigious Molière Award.
