The situation in Aleppo has largely calmed, with the Armenian community suffering only property damage, Maria Gabrielyan, spokesperson for the Armenian Diocese of Aleppo, told Alpha News.
According to her, military operations ceased this morning.
“Military operations continued throughout the night, with heavy artillery strikes until dawn. But by morning, the situation had completely changed: the Syrian army entered those three districts. Afterwards, the authorities called on displaced citizens to return to their homes,” said the spokesperson.
Gabrielyan believes that by Sunday Aleppo will return to its normal life, and educational institutions will reopen.
