Soldier suspected of killing officer has been arrested: more details revealed

A soldier suspected of killing Armenian officer Karen Karapetyan has been arrested, reports the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

Earlier, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that on January 9, at around 06:20 a.m., contract serviceman Karen Karapetyan was found shot dead at one of the combat positions of a military unit of Armenia.

The investigation found that Karapetyan and his fellow soldier had a quarrel over a violation of the rules of combat duty. As a result, the latter fired a gun, fatally wounding Karapetyan.
