The city of Alboraya, located in the Valencia province, has become the 43rd city in Spain to officially recognize the Armenian Genocide.

The decision was made following a vote in the city council. Six parties unanimously supported the declaration based on a petition from the Ararat Armenian Union of Spain.

Members of the City Council expressed their readiness to assist the Armenian community in Spain in advocating for the recognition of the Armenian Genocide at broader governmental levels, including the Spanish Parliament.
