State apparatus exerts daily pressure on our teammates and relatives – Sevak Khachatryan

On November 16, elections will be held in Vagharshapat for the Council of Elders, in which the center-right parties “Forward” and ARF Dashnaktsutyun will participate as part of the “Victory” bloc, Sevak Khachatryan, leader of the “Etchmiadzin” bloc, told reporters.

“Although the official election campaign begins on October 22, the atmosphere is already quite tense, especially from members of the ‘Civil Contract’ party. Our teammates and their relatives who work in the state system or own businesses are under daily pressure from the state apparatus,” he said.

When asked about their campaign, Khachatryan noted, “The campaign is exclusively focused on the enlarged Vagharshapat community, the city of Etchmiadzin, the Khoi community, and rural communities where a lot of work needs to be done. During this time, we held meetings with representatives of various sectors in rural areas. The problems in almost all villages are the same. We will include them in our campaign program and present them to the public during official gatherings.”

He added that the slogan of the “Victory” bloc will be: “The time has come.”
