Intensive peace talks with Armenia have been resumed since February this year, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with OSCE Chair-in-Office Ian Borg.4He positively assessed the development of the peace process with Armenia.
“This is a very complex and essential process. The peace treaty should be fair, based on international law, an agreement that excludes moments that may bring any controversial issues to discussion in the future. Of course, the expectations of the opposite side are also taken into account. We are working on mutual ways of finding a finding a mutual solution. The talks in Almaty were yet another step. Whether it is a big step or a small one, we will know only at the end of the process. But I will say that it is an important part of the process. I think we will witness its importance soon,” he said.
