Indian-American director Tarsem Singh, best known to the Armenian audience for directing Lady Gaga’s ‘911’ music video inspired by Parajanov aesthetics, will preside over the 21st Golden Apricot International Film Festival’s ‘Regional Panorama’ competition program.

Singh directed the music videos for R.E.M.’s ‘Losing My Religion’, Vanessa Paradis’s ‘Be My Baby’, and Lou Reed’s ‘What’s Good’, among others.

Singh’s feature film directorial debut was ‘The Cell’ (2000), starring Jennifer Lopez.

Golden Apricot 2024 will take place on July 7–14. This year, the festival will make a special reference to the 100-year anniversaries of Charles Aznavour and Sergei Parajanov.
