Tbilisi celebrates Vardaton for 110th time

Georgia’s Tbilisi celebrated Vardaton, the Feast of Roses, for the 110th time on May 19, jnews. ge reports.

Celebrated annually, Vardaton brings together the multi-ethnic population of the Georgian capital in the Meydan district.

Every year in May, Tbilisi becomes a beacon of Armenian culture and heritage as it marks Vardaton, dedicated to ashough Sayat-Nova.

Before the beginning of the celebration, a memorial service was held at the tomb of Sayat-Nova in the churchyard. The attendees decorated the tomb with roses and other flowers.

The event was attended by the delegation of the Armenian Embassy in Georgia, including Ambassador Ashot Smbatyan.
