Tbilisi hosts concert to mark Charles Aznavour’s 100th anniversary

On January 21, the Rustaveli National Theatre in Georgia’s Tbilisi hosted a concert to mark the 100th anniversary of the legendary French Armenian singer, composer and actor Charles Aznavour, jnews. ge reports. The soloist of the concert was singer, composer, musician and music producer Arpine Ter-Petrosyan, known as Arpi Alto.
The goal of the event was to strengthen cultural ties between the Armenian and Georgian peoples.
During the concert, Aznavour’s most famous songs were performed. The concert was organized by the Armenian Embassy in Georgia. The UNESCO General Conference included the centenary of Aznavour’s birth on the list of anniversaries with which UNESCO will be associated in 2024-2025—with the support of more than 80 Francophone Ambassadors at UNESCO.
