Georgia is closely following the ongoing dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by Georgian Foreign Minister Bochorishvili at a briefing with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

“We discussed the importance of stability in the region. Georgia is closely following the dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We welcome the peace agreement, which we hope will be signed soon,” he said.

According to Maki Bochorishvili, Georgia is sincerely interested in strengthening peace and stability in the region.:

“We have always said and will repeat that Georgia is sincerely interested in strengthening peace and stability in our region. We are glad that we had the opportunity to hold a trilateral meeting on April 17th. This was the first meeting in this format, when the deputy ministers of all three countries gathered in Tbilisi and discussed issues of regional importance. We believe that we have the potential to continue cooperation between the three countries in this format. The processes taking place in the region are certainly, they are very important. In this context, cooperation and partnership between our countries are important. The current geopolitical situation can be considered as a definite opportunity in the interests of Georgia and Azerbaijan, and, taking these interests into account, we can develop broad cooperation with other countries in the region and use the potential that our countries have in these conditions,” Bochorishvili said.
