Tense situation in Kirants, more than thousand of police officers arrive in village

More than a thousand police officers and black berets are currently in Kirants, where the situation is very tense.

According to the head of the village administration Kamo Shahinyan, at around 6 a.m., the police entered the village, beat and detained about 30 people, including minors.

Men were detained in the part where they were on duty to prevent the demining in the village.

According to MP Garnik Danielyan, the police forces blocked the entrances to the village. The demining is currently being carried out.
