Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, the Primate of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, sent a message from jail.
“I watched ‘Great Debate’…
I bow before my Yezidi brother Boris and His Holiness the Patriarch—for their heroic and selfless defense of me, Archbishop Bagrat, and Bishop Mkrtich, and the Armenian Church as a whole, from the hyenas with Armenian names and surnames…I also extend my gratitude to another defender of ours, whom I unfortunately have not had the honor of meeting.
I apologize to animal lovers for the insult to hyenas (the four-legged kind).
