The behavior of the leader of a small faction is outrageous — he disgraced himself in Moscow: Samvel Karapetyan

Philanthropist, businessman and leader of the Strong Armenia party has issued a statement.

“It is now clear: either an economic war with Russia unleashed in July because of Pashinyan, or the change we will bring to Armenia in June.

Frankly, the behavior of the leader of this small faction is outrageous. He disgraced himself in Moscow. But what is worse, through his successive steps he has turned our country into an arena of geopolitical conflict.

Why was it necessary to try to push friendly Russia out of our region? Its presence has never in any way hindered Armenia’s cooperation and trade with other centers of power.

And I am certain it will not do so in the future either. One simply needs to have intelligence and skill, that is to put it in plain terms. And one also needs to be level-headed. With Russia we have our deepest economic ties. It is Russia that supplies us with cheap gas, warmly welcomes our seasonal workers and purchases a significant share of our agricultural output. And if it stops doing all of this, what will you tell our people, who will become even poorer?

But the current prime minister is not interested in the fate of our compatriots, in what is in their pockets and their refrigerators. What matters to him is to intimidate people with false wars and manage to stay in power for the sake of his own well-being.

Of course, he will not stay. We will remove this small faction and establish friendly relations with all countries of the region, with all centers of power. We have seen what happened to Georgia and Ukraine. We do not need new wars.

By voting for Nikol, you will get poverty and hostility toward Russians, polarization and economic collapse. Trust us, and we will achieve real change: a strong economy, unity and lasting peace. The time for a strong Armenia has come,” Karapetyan’s statement reads.
