After a long pause, Aliyev has once again begun talking about “Western Azerbaijan”, referring to Armenia. Following the 44-day Artsakh war, Aliyev has made territorial claims on Armenia, one of which is the demand for the return of the so-called Western Azerbaijanis to Armenia, which he presents as historically Azerbaijani land.

What would happen if 300,000 Azerbaijanis settled in Armenia? Alpha News spoke with political scientist Arthur Khachikian on this matter. According to him, the resettlement of 300,000 Azerbaijanis in our country would mark the end of Armenia.

“Did the authorities say which villages would be emptied to accommodate the 300,000 Azerbaijanis? Have those villagers been informed about who will be leaving their homes and how clashes between Azerbaijanis and Armenians would be prevented? Let’s assume the Azerbaijanis arrive. How long will it take before property disputes arise, clashes erupt? Then they will start remembering their losses in the war, they will start calling for revenge, then there will be clashes.

How are we going to travel through those villages if Azerbaijanis live there? How many minutes will it take before someone throws a stone at a car or recalls that we allegedly occupied Azerbaijani territory? After that, Azerbaijan will say that since Armenia is incapable of ensuring the security of these people, they are forced to deploy their forces in Armenia. And the armies of Turkey and Azerbaijan will enter Syunik, triggering a mass exodus of Armenians. Then the whole of Armenia will be emptied, autonomy will be declared. They will say that they are forced to defend this territory, perhaps they will also demand representation in parliament. This will be the end of Armenia,” Arthur Khachikian said.

Arthur Khachikian also addressed the propaganda of fascism in Armenia, anti-Russian and anti-Soviet statements. The political scientist believes that, through these actions, Pashinyan is following the instructions from the West and Turkey.
