Czech MEP Marketta Gregorova, in an interview with Alpha News, expressed confidence that the newly appointed EU High Representative would not cooperate with Azerbaijan.
“As for the promises on security and trade with various countries, I was very disappointed with the plans outlined in the speech of the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in the European Parliament,” he said.
According to the deputy, “the problems concern not only Russia and Ukraine, they also exist in other countries.”
“And he didn’t mention China at all, despite the fact that we, like the United States, are waging a “trade war” with China. Von der Leyen made absolute promises, but she never kept them. however, it’s not just about her, most of this was done earlier by the EU High Representative for Security Borrel:
Now she will be replaced by Kaya Kallas, and she is much more belligerent towards Russia and the countries with which we cooperate, so this also applies to the problem of Azerbaijani gas and oil. I think if someone can point out the hypocrisy of the previous commission, then Callas himself can do it. Although I am disappointed with von der Leyen, I have high hopes for this commission, since Kallas will be responsible,” the deputy said.
