Washington and Tehran have held constructive talks over the past two days regarding a ceasefire in the Middle East. This was announced by US President Donald Trump.
“I am pleased to report that the United States and Iran have had very good and productive talks over the last two days about a full and final cessation of hostilities between us in the Middle East,” he wrote on Truth Social.
Trump also stated that he had ordered the Pentagon to postpone strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure facilities for five days in connection with ongoing consultations between the two sides, which are set to continue over the course of the week.
