There are no decisions yet on sanctions against Azerbaijan, EU spokesperson says

The European Union does not yet have any decisions on possible sanctions against Azerbaijan, the situation is being assessed, Peter Stano, the EU lead spokesperson for external affairs, said at a briefing in Brussels.

Earlier, MEPs called on the EU to impose sanctions against Baku in connection with the situation in Artsakh.

“The application of sanctions is within the jurisdiction of the EU countries,” he said, adding that the assessment of the situation in Artsakh is underway.

“Countries are still assessing the situation,” he said.
