There is a growing impression that Armenia is turning into a hub for forces hostile to Iran, said Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgolami.

According to the ambassador, a certain “group of individuals has been given the green light to come to the building of the Iranian Embassy in Armenia and make disrespectful and insulting statements.”

“This process has already been ongoing for six days—from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., outside the Iranian Embassy in Armenia, they deliver disrespectful and offensive remarks. This continues despite our numerous complaints to the relevant Armenian authorities. In the most difficult moments, we have always supported the government of Armenia, and there are many examples of this. Today we find ourselves in a difficult situation, and what is happening outside the Iranian Embassy will remain in the historical memory of the Iranian people. I believe I have made myself clear,” Shirgolami noted, adding that all of this was originally planned by Israel, and if it succeeds, Armenia will be among the losers.
