There should be pro-Armenian figures in Trump’s administration – Elizabeth Chouldjian
The aim of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) is to have pro-Armenian figures in the administration of United States President Donald Trump, ANCA Communications Director Elizabeth Chouldjian told Alpha News.
“The goal of the Armenian National Committee of America is to have figures in the executive administration, in President Trump’s administration, who understand the problems of Armenia and Artsakh, who can express their clear position on this issue. Such figures include Robert Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard. Tulsi Gabbard, as a congresswoman, visited Artsakh, traveled to Stepanakert and Shushi, and expressed her support for the people of Artsakh. Robert Kennedy Jr. was also very vocal about his position on Artsakh and the right of return of the Artsakh people during the election campaign,” Chouldjian said.
According to her, Artsakh people can return to their homes only if there are clear security guarantees from the superpowers.
“Because of Azerbaijan’s genocidal policy, 150 thousand Armenians left Artsakh. And they can return to their homeland, but this can only happen with clear security guarantees from international governments. ANCA continues to endorse these two candidates because of their positions on Armenia and Artsakh,” Chouldjian concluded.
