The Yerevan Museum of Modern Art hosted the fourth exhibition of Armenian director and animator David Sahakyants. He shared with Alpha News that drawing has become a lifeline for him, which allows him to break away from the current situation.

“I thought for a long time whether to hold an exhibition or not, because I had no mood, and today’s situation in Armenia does not allow me to do something in a calm atmosphere. However, my family persuaded me to hold this exhibition. You could say that we are in politics every second. I realized that if I give myself to it completely, I might just go crazy.

Indeed, every day there is a new misunderstanding or misfortune. I decided to take some time to reflect, and these paintings are the result of that. They are a complete improvisation. It became a kind of lifeline for me,” David Sahakyants said.
