‘They want to turn Armenia into Ukraine’ – protest outside Armenian Embassy in Moscow

A protest against the actions of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was held outside the Armenian Embassy in Moscow. Protesters described the authorities’ decisions to detain clergymen and businessman Samvel Karapetyan as unconstitutional. According to them, the Armenian authorities “want to turn Armenia into Ukraine.”

The protest coincided with Pashinyan’s visit to the Russian capital. Demonstrators stated that the actions of Armenia’s authorities are dividing society and harming the lives of the people. They also urged citizens to defend the Armenian Apostolic Church.

The protesters prepared a petition expressing disagreement with the prime minister’s actions. They intended to deliver the document to the Armenian ambassador, but he did not come out to meet them.
