Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during talks with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana, stated that Armenian-Kazakh relations have entered a new stage.

“I believe that a new era in our relations began thanks to your official visit to the Republic of Armenia last year, following which we signed a number of important agreements. Some of them have already been implemented, while others are still in progress. It is a great honor for me to be on an official visit to Kazakhstan,” Pashinyan said.

Tokayev, in turn, announced that a historic document on strategic partnership would be signed today. He emphasized the long-standing friendly ties between the peoples of the two countries and highlighted Armenia’s importance in the South Caucasus.

According to him, Armenia is one of Kazakhstan’s key partners. Tokayev recalled that in 2025, Kazakhstan Culture Days were held in Yerevan and a park was opened in honor of Abai Qunanbaiuly. He highlighted the trusting dialogue between the two states and the active development of trade, economic, cultural, and educational cooperation.

The meeting also addressed issues related to trade and the economy, transport, investment, agriculture, digitalization, healthcare, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. The leaders exchanged views on regional and international matters as well.
