Those who participate in forum in country responsible for deaths of 5,000 Armenian boys lack self-respect — Arthur Khachikian

The authorities have made numerous promises to distract us, political scientist Arthur Khachikian told Alpha News.

“Since the war, we have repeatedly heard promises of peace and a better future. We were told, ‘Let’s surrender Karabakh and live well.’ We definitely need to remember this whole chain of promises and make sure that they were all lies. Each time, they announced something new to divert our attention. This is not how normal negotiations are conducted,” Khachikian emphasized.

The political scientist firmly believes that a person with self-respect would not go to a state that dragged our country into war. Khachikian is referring to Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is participating in the forum in Antalya.

“Even if a country has a failed leader incapable of negotiating or winning a war, and that country has to play the role of the loser, then negotiations are held, an agreement is signed, and the issue is closed. In our case, capitulation has been ongoing for many years. However, we do have an agreement, because according to the November 9 declaration, Artsakh still existed, and the Russians were still there.
