On April 19, the Holy Resurrection Liturgy was held at the Armenian Church Complex in Moscow, with the blessing of Archbishop Yezras Nersissian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan. Thousands of Armenians from Moscow and the Moscow region participated in the liturgy preceding Easter. Some of our compatriots watched the service on a large screen installed in the church courtyard.

At the end of the liturgy, according to tradition, the faithful leave the church with candles and lamps. The fire symbolizes the light of Christ’s resurrection, which people take home and put on the Easter table. Armenians in Moscow brought baskets of food for their Easter celebrations, which were blessed by the priest after the liturgy. Those who observed the 40-day fast traditionally break it by first enjoying Easter dishes.

During the filming at the Church of Transfiguration in Moscow, we encountered singer Tatev Asatryan, who also attended the liturgy. In an interview with Alpha News, the singer shared that she is in Moscow to rehearse for her upcoming solo concert.

On May 3, Tatev Asatryan will perform her first major solo concert at the Live Arena in Moscow.
