Three Armenian films in the final list of Baiqonyr Film Festival

Three Armenian films “The Doll named Lilith”, “Romeo” and “Equation with two variables” were included in the final list of 18 short films featured in the 8th Baiqonyr International Film Festival, which would be held from September 6 to 10 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Traditionally, a forum of film critics and critics from the CIS countries is held in the non-competitive program of Baiqonyr. Among the participants of this year are film critics Helen Danielyan and Artur Vardikyan, the director of the Apricot Tree International Documentary Film Festival and the founder of the Filmadaran Film Culture Development NGO.

The event is organized with the assistance of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member states.

It should be noted that in 2021, at the 6th Baiqonyr Festival, the Grand Prix of the International Competition for the Best Film was awarded to “New Year’s Pig” directed by Alexander Baghdasaryan.
