“Three Elements”: Aivazovsky exhibition opens in Russian city of Yaroslavl

The Art Museum of the Russian city of Yaroslavl has opened an exhibition of paintings by the world-renowned Russian-Armenian marine painter Ivan Aivazovsky from the collection of the State Russian Museum, reports rg. ru.

Nineteen canvases were taken from St. Petersburg.

The exhibition displays the most important canvases of the great painter, created in different years of more than 60 years of his career. These are the early ones, written by Aivazovsky during his studies at the Academy of Arts, including one of the most famous, Peter I at Krasnaya Gorka.
