Today both role and dignity of lawyer have been devalued – Roman Yeritsyan

Lawyer Alexander Kochubayev was arrested for two months for a Facebook post supporting the clergy. Lawyer Roman Yeritsyan addressed this issue in an interview with Alpha News.

According to him, it is now necessary to act wisely. Yeritsyan reported that the Chamber of Advocates is developing a response plan.

“Today’s announcement of a strike by me and some lawyers is only the first step,” he noted.

Yeritsyan believes that not only the legal community but the entire society is being targeted: “Armenia has become a state where anyone with opposition views can become a target for the authorities.”

He also emphasized that today both the role and dignity of a lawyer have been devalued.
