Today’s authorities aim to destroy Church – Sevak Khachatryan

This is not about cleansing the Church; this is about destroying it, Sevak Khachatryan, head of the Victory faction of the Vagharshapat City Council, told reporters, commenting on Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that he is “cleansing the Church.”

“Today’s authorities have set themselves the task of destroying the Church, subordinating it to their control, and by targeting certain clergymen as well as the Catholicos, they are trying to achieve their goal. This is not about individuals; it is about undermining the Church as an institution,” Khachatryan emphasized.
