The trilateral agreements previously reached between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan remain relevant and provide a framework for resolving economic, transport, and logistical challenges in the South Caucasus, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in his opening remarks at the meeting with Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Alen Simonyan.

“All the groundwork that was agreed upon in 2020–2022 by the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan and the prime minister of Armenia, in our view, remains relevant primarily for resolving all economic, transport, and logistical problems in the South Caucasus. Armenia should benefit significantly from these decisions. All obstacles to the normal functioning of the entire region as a unified system must be removed. We are ready for this,” he said.

The Russian Foreign Minister noted that the deputy prime ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan “remain in regular contact within the framework of the decisions made based on the leaders’ agreements in the trilateral working group.”
