The initiative “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP)”, announced following the recent US-mediated peace summit between Armenia and Azerbaijan, opens new opportunities for the entire region and will contribute to strengthening the “Middle Corridor”, Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, said on Monday, Sputnik Georgia reports.
“This is important for fostering competition, as well as for offering better conditions to carriers, thereby making our corridor (the Middle Corridor) even more attractive. Competition will only enhance this,” Papuashvili said.
According to him, another route in the South Caucasus is evidence of regional stability, which will attract more investment. “This in itself is a signal of stability in the region, which will help expand all other types of investment—both in infrastructure around the corridor and in general investments across various sectors of the region. This is why we welcome this initiative, which will benefit the entire region,” Papuashvili emphasized.
