Trump does not want US to be involved in war in Middle East – Pavel Dubravskiy
Political strategist and head of ‘Dubravskiy Consulting’ Pavel Dubravskiy commented to Alpha News on how US President Donald Trump will behave in the conflict between Israel and Iran.
“Trump is between two fires. On one side, neoconservatives, militarists and ‘hawks’ are putting a lot of pressure on him. We see that Lindsey Graham, recognized by Russian law as an extremist and terrorist, insists that the US bomb Iran. Obviously, there is influence of the Republican Party establishment here. On the other side, the second fire is today’s conservatives, including new media. Let me remind you that Michael Knowles, Candace Owens, and Tucker Carlson are the people who condemned Donald Trump and said that the US should under no circumstances participate in this military conflict,” Dubravskiy said.
According to the expert, after Israel inflicts maximum damage on Iran, Trump will put pressure on Iran and insist on signing the nuclear weapons deal.
“I believe Donald Trump is going to do the following. He wants to wait until Israel inflicts maximum damage on Iran and then, from a position of strength, insist on signing a deal to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. That is, his task in this regard is to wait, see how Israel copes with this, and then put pressure on Iran. Donald Trump himself certainly does not want American troops or American weapons in general to participate in this war. One of his main accomplishments of his first term was that, throughout his four years in office, the United States never participated in military conflicts directly, and he wants to repeat this achievement; for him it is very important on a personal level,” Dubravskiy concluded.
