According to polls, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has remained in the same place, but Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has lost her position, political scientist Hayk Ter-Nersisyan told Alpha News.

“There is a fierce battle between Trump and Harris now, but according to the latest polls, Trump is leading. However, later, these percentages may turn out to be incorrect. That is, theoretically, Harris may also win, but from a practical point of view, if we make a comparison, we will see that Trump has remained in the same place, and Harris is losing position. This is probably due to several factors, and the first of them is international,” the political scientist noted.

Ter-Nersisyan also touched upon the escalation of the Iranian-Israeli conflict.

“If the Democrats are elected, they will become a more restraining factor for Netanyahu. Even though Trump is speaking softer now, he too will not be against Israel taking tough steps,” Hayk Ter-Nersisyan concluded.
