Tsikhanouskaya cancels Armenia visit after Lithuania declines security support

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya canceled her planned visit to Armenia after Lithuanian authorities declined to provide her with security. According to Lithuanian media, Vilnius did not assign any security personnel to accompany the Belarusian opposition leader at the international event.

Tsikhanouskaya’s trip was related to her participation in a session of Euronest—a key platform for cooperation between members of the European Parliament and parliamentarians from Eastern Partnership countries, including Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
