Tumanyan Puppet Theater participates in First International Festival of Puppet Theaters ‘Little Fortress’

The First International Festival of Puppet Theaters ‘Little Fortress’ was held in the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Shenzhen, Jinyan, Ankang, and Nantong. The Hovhannes Tumanyan National Puppet Theater participated in the festival with the ‘Thumbelina’ performance, the Armenia Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture reports.

Theater groups from Russia, Germany, Bulgaria, Spain, China, Poland, and Iran also participated in the festival. The Armenian theater presented the play ‘Thumbelina’ at seven different venues in five cities in China. A total of 14 plays were performed, which were watched by about 5,000 spectators. The performance was highly appreciated by the organizers of the festival.
