Turkey has denied reports from several media outlets claiming that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan decided to provide financial assistance to the families of fallen Armenian soldiers.
“Assertions circulated in some media and on social networks that Erdogan allegedly signed a decision to provide financial aid amounting to 10 million dollars to vulnerable segments of Armenian society, including the families of soldiers who died in Armenia, as well as pensioners and families in need of special care, are completely unfounded.
It is important that the public does not fall for disinformation aimed against our country and Turkish-Azerbaijani relations, and instead relies solely on statements from official authorities,” the statement reads.
