Aram Kevorkian, the EAFJD representative for press relations, spoke with Alpha News about the events commemorating the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day held in Belgium. It should be noted that many events were held in different parts of the world on April 24.
“On the morning of April 23, we visited the Armenian Church in Brussels, followed by a candlelit procession to the monument dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. This was organized by the Brussels-based student union. Representatives of the Armenian community participated in the events as well,” he said.
According to him, the Turkish Union also took part in the events held on April 24.
“The events planned for April 24 began early in the morning with a visit to the church, then a procession was held, involving not only Armenians, but also representatives of other nations, for example, there were people from the Turkish Union, the Jewish Union and others,” Aram Kevorkian added.
