Two items of great ‘danger’ have been seized — Vardevanyan on searches at ENA

“Since early morning, a massive parade of illegal searches has begun,” said lawyer Aram Vardevanyan in a conversation with journalists, referring to the searches being conducted at Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) and at the home of Narek Karapetyan, Chairman of the ENA Board of Directors.

“It seems the topic of searches no longer surprises anyone, but a search is an extremely intrusive interference with rights. It must be strictly proportional, necessary, and lawful. In this case, it is very difficult to say what exactly they are looking for. So far, two items considered to pose a ‘great danger’ have been seized during the search — namely, two hats,” Vardevanyan said.
