In recent days, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has been regularly spreading statements that units of the Armenian Armed Forces are opening fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sections of the border. On March 31, the Armenian Defense Ministry once again denied these allegations, reporting instead that, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired on the village of Khnatsakh in the Syunik region. This attack resulted in damage to a residential building.
Alpha News spoke with Vahan Zakyan, the head of the administration of the village of Khoznavar in the Syunik region, to find out whether shots had been heard in the area.
“There have been no shots fired in the past two days, but last night there were one or two. The shooting was brief but still audible. The shots were fired around 10:20 p.m. and again around 4:00 a.m. No residential buildings were hit,” Zakyan said.
