The former interim UFC lightweight champion, American Dustin Poirier, is interested in fighting top Armenian fighter Arman Tsarukyan for the interim UFC title in the 70 kg category.
“Yes, that interests me. I wonder what they are going to do. Will Arman continue to wait for Islam? I don’t know when Islam is going to be back. I saw he might have surgery. The lightweight division has been so crazy over these past years,” Poirier told MMA Junkie.
In the last fight, held on June 2 at UFC 302 in Newark, New Jersey, Poirier was fighting against the current holder of the UFC lightweight championship title, Russian Islam Makhachev.
