UK and Armenia hold talks on sending illegal migrants

The United Kingdom has started talks with four countries that could receive illegal migrants expelled from the country, The Times newspaper reported, citing documents of the British Foreign Office.
The list of countries includes Armenia, Ivory Coast, Costa Rica and Botswana.
Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Brazil and Colombia have also been approached but were viewed as less likely to be interested in signing up.
The ‘reserve list’ includes Cape Verde, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo, Angola and Sierra Leone – meaning they could be approached if talks with other, more favoured targets didn’t succeed.
Progress has reportedly stalled due to ongoing problems with the Rwanda deal, but the government hopes that talks can resume as soon as the Rwandan scheme is launched.
