Ukraine, Moldova, and Armenia are all led by Western liberal appointees – Timofey Yermakov

Speaking with Alpha News, journalist and war correspondent Timofey Yermakov analyzed the Armenian authorities’ attitude toward the Armenian Church and the crisis in Russian-Azerbaijani relations.
“Ukraine, Moldova, and Armenia are all led by Western liberal appointees. They’re completely unashamed of this. For example, Sandu’s victory in Moldova was secured solely by foreign votes—the diaspora in Canada, the US, Europe, and elsewhere. This, of course, is utter nonsense, but nevertheless, according to Moldovan law, it’s generally permissible. In fact, we see that the entire struggle of the liberal appointees is directed primarily against what we call traditional values—I would say, against normality,” Yermakov said.
The expert went on to describe Pashinyan’s political approach and his efforts to sever the people from their centuries-old spiritual foundations:
“Overall, Zelensky, Pashinyan, and Sandu represent, so to speak, new regimes. But, in my opinion, they have been in power for so long that they have become guardians of their own regimes. Accordingly, from an ideological standpoint, they need to rob ordinary people of the foundation they could rely on—to prevent someone from coming to church and being told the right thing to do. A liberal dictatorship is harsher, more brutal, more dangerous, and more evil than any other, because it allows for no alternatives whatsoever. These people were once champions of free speech, proclaiming, ‘My freedom ends where another’s begins,’ ‘I don’t agree with your beliefs, but I’m ready to give my life for your right to defend them.’ But now things are different. I don’t need to tell you how widespread Protestant sects have become in Armenia. He supports them, but everything else must be completely purged.”
Turning to Russian-Azerbaijani relations, the journalist emphasized the close connection between official Baku and a political axis hostile to Russia.
“We mistakenly view Azerbaijan as a sovereign country that pursues an independent policy and decides for itself whom to confront and whom to negotiate with. This is not entirely true. This Azerbaijan-Turkey-Britain nexus manifests itself in protest notes, openly anti-Russian statements, and actions. Let me remind you: the helicopter incident has not been investigated, and those responsible have not been punished. The incident with the shot peacekeepers also remains unresolved, and, unfortunately, no one even remembers it. If they want to present us with protest notes, we can respond with a whole ‘instrument’,” Timofey Yermakov concluded.
