Unexpected opponent for Arman Tsarukyan could be Dustin Poirier

According to Hype FC co-owner Armand Martirosyan, who spoke in an interview with Jason Takhtadjian, a grappling match featuring Tsarukyan is planned for February, and Poirier is being considered as one of the possible opponents.

“We are negotiating with Dustin Poirier about a fight against Arman. The contract has not yet been signed, but there is a chance that he will be the opponent. If the agreement does not go through, we have another option—an athlete whose return is eagerly awaited by the entire MMA community. Tomorrow we have a scheduled conversation, and this fight could turn out to be even bigger than Arman’s meeting with Shara,” Martirosyan said.

He added that in case negotiations fall through, a backup plan is in place.
