The Italian Avvenire newspaper has published an article by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice Professor Aldo Ferrari on the Azerbaijani policy of destroying Armenian cultural heritage in Artsakh, Armenpress reports.

Ferrari, in the article titled “Nagorno-Karabakh: How Azerbaijan is Erasing Armenian Culture”, is citing the facts provided by Caucasus Heritage Watch and is warning about the ongoing destruction of Armenian heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh. The article notes that since the Azeri takeover of Nagorno-Karabakh in September 2023, over 50 Armenian cultural sites have been either destroyed or damaged.

Citing historical facts, the professor stresses that the Azeri authorities are distorting history and misrepresenting Armenian heritage as Caucasian Albanian. He warns of a cultural genocide committed against the Armenians.
