The United States continues to encourage Armenia and Azerbaijan to try to reach a lasting agreement, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said in a press briefing on Tuesday when asked about expectations from the upcoming meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers.
“I don’t have any announcements to make, but we continue to encourage both sides to try to reach a durable, lasting agreement,” Miller said.
The meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov is scheduled for February 28-29 in Berlin, Germany. Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he hopes to achieve progress at the meeting.
