US envoy to Azerbaijan says incidents on border show that situation may worsen

Such incidents on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border show that the situation is likely to worsen, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mark Libby said, referring to the latest escalation on the border.
 
“We call on the sides to refrain from escalation and encourage them to start a dialogue,” he said. 

On February 13, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from small arms on Armenian positions located in Nerkin Hand, resulting in casualties from the Armenian side.
