US understands that our region belongs to Russia – Sargis Zelveyan

The US shows no interest in our region, public activist Sargis Zelveyan said in an interview with Alpha News.

“Unfortunately, we Armenians imagine that the entire world goes to sleep thinking about Armenia and wakes up in the morning discussing it over a cup of coffee. But that’s not true. Armenia is of interest only to us,” he said.

According to him, regardless of how much interest the United States may show in the region, it understands that the region belongs to Russia.

According to Zelveyan, the meeting between Aliyev, Trump, and Pashinyan at the White House was formal in nature.

Agreeing with the view that by brokering an agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Trump became a victim of the Turkish-Azerbaijani alliance, Zelveyan added, “It’s crucial to remember that Trump is essentially pro-Israel, and in this situation, Israel’s interests cannot be overlooked. Zionist ideology and pan-Turkism go hand in hand.”
