Under the blockade, Stepanakert State Drama Theatre named after Vahram Papazian began staging the novel “Feast of Predators” by the French writer of Armenian origin Vahe Qacha, the director of the play Kajik Harutyunyan said in an interview with Armenpress.

“For the first time, we staged this novel in 1988, during the Artsakh movement, when we faced the problem “to be or not to be”. The re-staging is connected with the blockade situation, during which the Artsakh people are fighting hard for their lives. Desperate people have to make a choice, remaining true to their vocation. Despite the difficult station, the theatre continues operating. We have to balance rehearsals with rotating power cuts to present the performance to the audience by the end of this month,” Harutyunyan said.

The play tells the story of people living in occupied Areas during the Second World War and the difficulties of remaining human in such a situation.
