Varazdat Hakobyan sets new world record and absolute record of Dyutsaznagirk Book of Records

Varazdat Hakobyan, a resident of Sevan in Armenia’s Gegharkunik region, world champion in powerlifting, and multiple champion of the Armenian Dyutsaznagirk Book of Records, has set a new world record.

Vardan Tovmasyan, Chair of the Dyutsaznagirk Association of Heroes, reported that at Zvartnots airport, Hakobyan moved a Boeing 737-500 aircraft weighing 40 tons by 1 m 87 cm in 15 seconds with the help of a cable fixed on his hands.

Earlier, Varazdat set another Dyutsaznagirk record by moving four freight cars weighing a total of 84 tons.

“By the way, this is the first such record in Armenia,” Tovmasyan said.
