Varazdat Lalayan wins Weightlifting World Cup in Thailand

Varazdat Lalayan won the Weightlifting World Cup in Phuket, Thailand, to qualify for the 2024 Olympics.

The Armenian weightlifter showed his best result, having lifted 463 kg (210+253). Simon Martirosyan claimed third place with 440 kg (195+245).

Iran’s Ali Davoudi lifted a total of 454 kg (202+252) and finished second.
